About RVT Group

RVT Group protects the long-term health of people and the environment. Since 1993, this family-owned business has supplied specialist solutions for dust, noise, climate and fume control, ventilation, monitoring, water treatment and confined space work across construction, infrastructure, industry and defence. We are growing fast, with ambitious plans for the next few years, and we want people who will grow with us.

The role

AMP8 is under way, and water sector investment is opening up real opportunities for RVT. We are looking for a tenacious Business Development Executive to get us in front of the right people at the water companies and at the contractors and supply chain delivering AMP8 work.

This is a desk-based role. You will research, call, qualify and book meetings, then hand quality leads to our Business Development and Water specialist teams, who take them forward. You will be based in our Ellesmere Port office, reporting to our Business Development lead, with occasional visits to our Dartford head office.

What you will do

  • Make 30 to 50 outbound calls a day and, once settled, hold quality conversations with 13 to 16 decision makers a day.
  • Research and map target water companies and contractors using LinkedIn and other platforms.
  • Make consultative calls to uncover AMP8 projects, timelines and where RVT can support on site.
  • Build relationships and grow the number of contacts within each target company.
  • Book meetings and pass qualified leads to the specialist teams, working to clear KPIs.

Requirements

  • Experience in the water industry, whether with a water company, contractor or supply chain business, ideally in business development or sales. This is essential.
  • A proven track record of high-volume outbound calling (30 to 50 calls a day) against KPIs, including booking meetings with decision makers. This is also essential.
  • Resilience, a conscientious work ethic and the confidence to speak to senior people by phone.
  • A team player who shares our values: Can-Do Attitude, Honesty & Accountability, Delivering Excellence, Respect & Care for All, and Positive & Enthusiastic.
  • The right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship, and offers are subject to a DBS check.

Benefits

  • 23 days’ holiday rising to 25 after two years, plus bank holidays
  • Growth by Sharing bonus scheme
  • Private healthcare after probation
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Two paid volunteering days a year
  • Free lunch every Friday

This is an office-based role at Ellesmere Port and is not hybrid. If you know the water sector and you are at your best on the phone, apply today.
