The Posting

Vivid Energy Electrical Solutions is looking for a highly organised Operations Manager to keep work moving across its electrical contracting business. You’ll coordinate a high volume of jobs across 6 field tradies, working closely with the Directors to keep schedules, quotes, materials and job administration on track.

The business works across domestic service, residential builds and renovations, builder and commercial projects, education, thermographic scanning and test-and-tag services throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria.

What you'll be doing:

  • Coordinate incoming work, quote requests and tenders, keeping records and due dates up to date in simPRO.
  • Manage job flow and schedule work across 6 field technicians, balancing priorities, availability, travel and deadlines.
  • Keep customers, builders, suppliers and the field team informed as jobs and schedules change.
  • Coordinate materials, purchase orders, supplier quotes and deliveries.
  • Organise quote information and supporting documents for approval.
  • Track job costs, work in progress, margins and outstanding debtors, escalating issues when needed.
  • Follow jobs through to close-out, ensuring job cards, timesheets, materials and certificates are ready for invoicing.
  • Keep compliance records, staff documents, supplier invoices, fleet, tools and stock organised.
  • Maintain accurate simPRO records and help improve workflows and reporting.

Requirements

  • Experience coordinating operations, service jobs or workflows in a busy environment.
  • Hands-on experience using simPRO.
  • Strong organisation and follow-through, with the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
  • Clear communication skills and confidence coordinating with field teams, customers, builders and suppliers.
  • Construction or trade-services experience would be an advantage but isn’t essential.
  • Practical commercial awareness and confidence keeping job information and costs up to date.

Benefits

  • Competitive remuneration.
  • Full-time, permanent role based in Chirnside Park.
  • Work closely with the Directors and field team.
  • Take ownership of day-to-day operations and help improve how work flows across the business.
