About the team

The Coordinator II, Mortgage Operations, Closing prepares and finalizes mortgage loan files by coordinating closing activities, verifying accuracy and compliance, communicating with key parties, and supporting timely funding. The role manages moderately complex closing tasks, resolves routine issues using judgment, and collaborates with internal and external partners to deliver an efficient, compliant closing experience for borrowers.

Zillow Group is a strategic, mission-driven organization focused on delivering exceptional experiences and measurable outcomes. Our work spans cross-functional partnership, scalable programs and operational excellence in support of Zillow’s mission. We bring deep experience working across diverse teams in a dynamic, high-growth environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution to drive meaningful business impact. We are seeking an experienced professional to support our workforce expansion in India.

About the role

  • Coordinate end-to-end mortgage closing packages, ensuring all required documents, signatures, and approvals are completed accurately and on time to support scheduled closings and funding.
  • Review closing disclosures, settlement statements, and supporting loan documents for completeness, consistency, and adherence to company, investor, and regulatory requirements, escalating discrepancies as appropriate.
  • Track, clear, and document closing conditions by partnering with loan officers, processors, settlement agents, and other stakeholders to resolve routine issues that could delay closing.
  • Verify and update loan data in applicable systems, perform basic file audits, and maintain organized electronic records to support quality control and post-closing review.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with borrowers and third parties to confirm closing details, obtain outstanding information, and provide status updates throughout the closing process.
  • Monitor daily closing and funding pipelines, prioritize work to meet cutoffs and service-level expectations, and proactively flag risks or delays to supervisors.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring process or documentation issues, suggesting refinements to checklists or workflows, and sharing best practices with peers.

This role has been categorized as an Office position. “Office” employees regularly work at the Zillow India office for approximately 80 to 100 percent of their time each month. Employees must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Zillow has not defined a reasonable distance, and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute.

Who you are

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in mortgage operations, loan processing, closing, or a similar high-volume financial services environment.
  • Experience working with mortgage documents, disclosures, and closing or settlement processes.
  • Experience using loan origination or servicing systems and standard office productivity tools.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
