Technical Accounting Consultant

GHJ Search and Staffing serves as the recruitment division of GHJ, a prominent national accounting and advisory firm. Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential.

Responsibilities

• Research and document technical accounting issues
• Analyze accounting implications of complex transactions
• Prepare accounting memoranda and supporting documentation
• Support financial reporting and disclosure requirements
• Assist with adoption of new accounting standards
• Partner with auditors and internal stakeholders
• Provide guidance on accounting policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA required or strongly preferred
• 7+ years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting preferred
• Experience with technical accounting research and documentation
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
