About the company

Our client is a law firm.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Handle commercial litigation matters with a focus on construction disputes, working independently while collaborating closely with partners and fellow associates. The role covers legal research, written advocacy and case strategy within a hybrid, team-oriented practice.

What you'll do

  • Manage construction litigation matters from start to finish with limited supervision.
  • Conduct legal research and draft briefs and other court filings.
  • Develop case strategy for construction disputes.
  • Work with partners and associates across the commercial litigation practice.
  • Carry a caseload in line with an annual billable hours expectation of approximately 1,900.
  • Work in the office 3 days per week and remotely the rest of the week.

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • 4 to 8 years of post-JD experience with a genuine concentration in construction litigation, not just general commercial litigation.
  • JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record; a transcript is required at submission.
  • Admission to the New Jersey bar, or the ability to waive in within 3 to 6 months.
  • A stable employment history without a pattern of short tenures.
  • Ability to commute to the office 3 days per week and a willingness to work in person with the team.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Bonus points

  • Prior judicial clerkship, especially in a state trial court.
  • Background mixing product liability or insurance work with construction matters.
  • New York or Pennsylvania bar admission.
