  • Support debugging of hardware/software integration using laboratory tools, test equipment, and development environments.
  • Work with PCB layout, manufacturing, test, and production teams to support product development and delivery.
  • Support technical investigations, problem solving, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Contribute technical input to project documentation, and proposals where appropriate.
  • Develop knowledge of relevant technologies, design standards, tools, and engineering processes.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • A degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in electronic engineering, embedded systems, or a related discipline.
  • A strong interest in electronic design, embedded systems, hardware development, and practical engineering problem solving.
  • Awareness of analogue and digital electronics, circuit design, schematic capture, PCB design principles, and electronic test methods.
  • Exposure to design tools such as Altium, PSpice, Matlab/Simulink, FPGA design suites, or similar would be beneficial.
  • Basic understanding of embedded software or scripting languages such as C, C++, Python, or similar.
  • Awareness of common hardware interfaces and communications protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet, CAN, or similar.
  • Ability to interpret technical requirements, produce clear documentation, and follow structured engineering processes.
  • Practical laboratory skills, including use of oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, or similar test equipment.
  • Good analytical, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • A willingness to learn, take ownership of assigned tasks, and develop towards increasing technical responsibility.

Graduate Development

  • Mentoring and day-to-day guidance from experienced electronic, firmware, software, and systems engineers.
  • Exposure to real engineering projects, including requirements capture, design, prototype build, verification, production support, and continuous improvement.
  • Opportunities to develop practical laboratory skills using test equipment, development tools, and structured engineering processes.
  • Support to build knowledge of analogue and digital electronics, embedded systems, PCB design, product verification, and design documentation.
  • A development path towards increasing technical responsibility as your skills, experience, and confidence grow.
