Founding Talent Lead

ABOUT THE ROLE

A B2B SaaS startup is hiring its first dedicated talent professional to own recruiting end to end. You will build candidate pipelines across technical and non-technical teams, initially focusing on engineering, and help establish a thoughtful, high-quality candidate experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build candidate pipelines from scratch, with an initial focus on engineering and future support for go-to-market and other functions.
• Own the full recruiting lifecycle, including proactive outreach, screening, interview coordination, and closing.
• Provide warm, thoughtful, and attentive communication to candidates throughout the process.
• Partner with company leadership to define role requirements and align on candidate profiles.
• Support light people operations, including offer letters and recruiting process improvements.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• At least 4 years of technical recruiting experience, including recruiting software engineers at a B2B SaaS startup.
• Experience as an in-house recruiter at a high-growth startup, ideally as the first or only recruiter.
• A track record of owning engineering hiring from proactive sourcing through offer acceptance, including during periods of rapid growth.
• Strong outbound sourcing skills and the ability to build pipelines without relying on company brand or inbound applicants.
• Experience with Ashby or a similar modern recruiting platform is helpful.
• A warm, considerate approach to working with candidates and stakeholders.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary is $150,000 to $235,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

LOCATION

On-site five days per week in San Francisco, California.
