Westview International Language School is seeking a motivated and skilled Professional Skills Social Studies Teacher for the academic year 2026-2027. This role is ideal for educators passionate about developing students' social studies knowledge alongside essential professional and life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging lessons that integrate social studies content with professional skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.
• Utilize diverse teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic and skill development.
• Create an inclusive and interactive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters essential life skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects that enrich the learning experience.
• Encourage student involvement in extracurricular activities that promote social studies understanding and professional skill growth.
• Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and engagement.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational trends and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, or a related field.
• Experience teaching Social Studies at the Secondary level is preferred.
• Strong understanding of integrating professional skills with social studies education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students and collaborate with staff and parents.
• Innovative and student-centered teaching approach.
