The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Serve as a senior transactional attorney who takes full charge of corporate deals for the firm's clients, guiding a compact group of lawyers from first negotiation through closing. The position also carries a coaching element and close collaboration with department leadership.

What you'll do

  • Take the lead on negotiating and preparing share and asset purchase documents as well as operating and shareholder agreements.
  • Steer each deal from kickoff to closing alongside a small, capable team.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for important clients and keep those relationships strong.
  • Prepare and quickly revise supporting documents such as confidentiality, employment and other ancillary deal paperwork.
  • Oversee closing deliverables, track revisions and keep each transaction on schedule.
  • Communicate frequently with clients and the other side's counsel, including by video call.
  • Guide less experienced attorneys through active deals and give them hands-on feedback.
  • Work across varied deal types, including private equity buyouts, strategic acquisitions and sales of businesses.

  • Strong command of drafting and negotiating the main acquisition documents.
  • Comfort leading small deal groups through intricate transactions.
  • A history of building client trust and developing junior lawyers.
  • A JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Sound judgment, strong leadership and a confident presence with clients.
  • An approachable, team-oriented personality that fits a close-knit, trusting workplace.
