The Posting

About the company

Our client is an early-stage software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Shape the core software platform behind an automation product and its user-facing experience, working across backend, data and frontend. Move work from first idea through release in close contact with users, with substantial autonomy.

What you'll do

  • Ship user-facing functionality from early idea to live release, speaking with users, shaping the approach and watching real usage.
  • Model data securely with strong audit trails and build event-driven processing pipelines.
  • Create service interfaces for internal and external use, plus a live web dashboard that gives customers clear visibility.
  • Connect the platform to third-party business systems and partners, and maintain a dependable data synchronization layer.
  • Put monitoring, reliability targets and on-call routines in place for business-critical processes.
  • Move across backend, data and frontend work depending on where effort pays off most.

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Ability to work from the New York office full time, or willingness to relocate there.
  • Sound product instincts, with a habit of improving things from user feedback and a high standard for interface design and usability.
  • Self-directed approach to delivering complete features with little supervision.
  • Degree in computer science or a related technical discipline from a well-regarded university.
  • Background at a B2B or B2C SaaS startup that cares about product quality.
  • Prior experience in a very small startup environment.
  • If you have roughly 1 to 2 years of experience: an internship or role at a leading tech company, a portfolio demonstrating strong product skills, or a degree from a top engineering school.
  • Enthusiasm for building at an early stage.

Bonus points

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Postgres.
  • Familiarity with modern frontend tooling such as Next.js and Tailwind.
