The Posting

About the company

Our client is a mid-sized law firm.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Support attorneys through the full life of litigation matters, handling drafting, discovery, research and case preparation while keeping several deadlines on track at once. The role suits an experienced paralegal who stays steady under pressure and wants a stable, long-term position.

What you'll do

  • Assist attorneys on litigation matters from early stages through trial and appeal.
  • Prepare and review pleadings, subpoenas, written discovery and client or opposing counsel correspondence.
  • Organize large document productions and manage electronic discovery platforms.
  • Summarize depositions and put together trial-ready materials, including exhibit schedules and witness documentation.
  • Attend hearings, trials and client meetings to support attorneys as needed.
  • Conduct legal research, help write briefs and cite-check citations.
  • Maintain case files and calendaring systems with careful attention to deadlines.
  • Coordinate with clients, experts and vendors with professionalism and discretion.

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • At least 5 years of litigation paralegal experience in complex civil matters, with an ideal range of about 5 to 12 years.
  • Background working for the defendant side of substantial civil disputes; plaintiff-only backgrounds are not a fit.
  • A proven ability to prioritize and complete several competing deadlines.
  • Mastery of litigation support tools.
  • A stable work history and a commitment to a long-term career.

Bonus points

  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate.
  • Experience handling employment law matters.
  • Bluebook citation experience, or a clear ability to learn the current edition quickly.
  • Big law firm experience.
