The Posting
MAT Research is a pioneering company in the field of pyrogen testing, committed to ushering in a new era of ethical and accurate diagnostics. Since 2016, we have been leading the development of the Monocyte Activation Test (MAT), an animal-free alternative to traditional Rabbit Pyrogen Tests. Our ready-to-use MAT kits offer a robust and highly reliable method for detecting a broad range of pyrogens in parenteral drugs. ISO:9001:2015 certified, we uphold the highest standards of quality in all our products and services. By focusing on in-vitro human-based testing, we aim to drastically increase patient safety while saving hundreds of thousands of animal lives each year. We are steadfast supporters of the European Pharmacopoeia's vision to replace animal-based tests with MAT by 2026.For more details, go to our job page.
Our ERP system, Odoo.sh v18, supports our operations across CRM, Sales, Accounting, Helpdesk, Inventory, Purchase and Manufacturing. As our Odoo Technical Delivery Manager, you'll take ownership of our ERP system, ensuring it runs smoothly, evolves with our business and supports our growing team.

- Own the end-to-end Odoo delivery pipeline, including maintenance, enhancements, bug fixes and new features.
- Manage and prioritise the Asana backlog, coordinate freelance developers and track timelines, risks and dependencies.
- Maintain a roadmap of ERP improvements and oversee release planning, deployment readiness and recovery considerations.
Requirement Gathering & Solution Design
- Work with stakeholders to understand business processes, challenge assumptions and translate requirements into scoped projects and developer-ready tasks.
- Define clear acceptance criteria and ensure solutions meet operational needs.
- Evaluate when standard Odoo functionality is sufficient and when custom development is justified.
Technical Development & Code Review
- Independently implement and debug smaller Odoo customisations using Python, the Odoo ORM, XML views and access controls.
- Review developers' code for correctness, maintainability, permissions, data integrity and regression risks, including JavaScript/OWL where relevant.
- Use Git, pull requests, automated testing and Odoo.sh development, staging and production environments to support reliable releases.
Quality Assurance
- Own functional QA, testing and business acceptance for developments and bug fixes.
- Validate workflows, data integrity and automated test results, coordinating UAT and stakeholder sign-off.
- Track defects and ensure changes are tested and ready for deployment.
Documentation & Training
- Maintain clear documentation of workflows, configurations and customisations.
- Create user guides and provide training to support effective system adoption.
Communication & Reporting
- Act as the main point of contact for ERP-related matters, keeping stakeholders informed of progress, risks and changes.
- Provide regular updates on delivery progress, backlog priorities and system performance.
