Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Buyer, Digital Investment & Activation to join our growing team in Canada. This individual will support the digital activation team in executing campaign activity, with a heavy focus on social media platforms, as well as display, video, and SEM.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn the intricacies of digital media buying and platform execution. The knowledge acquired from hands-on campaign setup and ongoing monitoring will help build a strong foundation for media strategy. Ultimately, this role supports the broader team in driving campaign performance and delivering the best digital media opportunities for our clients.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • 40% - Campaign Set-Up. Perform the tactical, hands-on setup of campaigns directly within major social media platforms (e.g., Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.). Ensure proper audience targeting, budget allocation, ad trafficking, and pixel/tag implementation prior to the launch date to guarantee flawless campaign execution.
  • 20% - Collaboration & Campaign Updates. Work closely with the media planning team to understand campaign objectives and strategic shifts. Implement necessary campaign updates, budget reallocations, and structural changes within the buying platforms as directed by planners and Senior Buyers.
  • 20% - Campaign Monitoring & Management. Perform daily and weekly checks of active campaigns to gauge pacing and performance. Highlight potential areas for optimization or under-delivery to the Supervisor. Communicate with vendor or platform reps as needed to troubleshoot basic ongoing issues.
  • 15% - Assist with Reporting. Aid the team in client reporting by pulling data directly from social and programmatic platforms, formatting spreadsheets, and helping to identify preliminary trends in campaign performance.
  • 5% - Continuous Learning & Team Support. Participate in internal meetings, shadow senior team members to understand client management, and continuously develop a working knowledge of the broader digital media landscape.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • None. This role focuses on individual skill development and team support.

Knowledge And Skills Required

  • 1–2 years of digital media experience (internship or coordinator-level agency experience is highly valued).
  • A foundational understanding of the digital media landscape, with a strong interest in social media execution.
  • Competent computer knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Hands-on familiarity with or basic exposure to major social media buying platforms (e.g., Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager). Exposure to programmatic DSPs (Amazon, The Trade Desk, DV360) is an asset.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Proactive problem solver with a strong willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Certificates, licenses and registrations

  • Active certifications in Meta Blueprint, Google Ads, DV360, or The Trade Desk are a strong asset.
