About the Role
Blackbaud is seeking an Account Executive to lead an enterprise territory on the Canadian team. In this role, you will help organizations advance their missions through technology that supports fundraising, constituent engagement, financial management, granting and other critical operations. You will be responsible for growing relationships with existing Blackbaud customers while introducing new organizations to our solutions. Acting as a trusted business advisor, you will build senior-level relationships and develop a deep understanding of the opportunities, priorities and challenges shaping the organizations you serve. This is an opportunity to combine strategic enterprise selling with meaningful social impact, representing Blackbaud to mission-driven organizations.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and develop an enterprise territory.
  • Create and execute a go-to-market strategy designed to achieve assigned revenue objectives.
  • Grow existing customer relationships by partnering with Customer Success Managers to identify additional opportunities and deliver greater value.
  • Generate new business by prospecting into organizations that are not currently Blackbaud customers.
  • Develop strategic and tactical account plans with clear goals, actions, and timelines.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including senior leaders, executive directors, and CFOs.
  • Lead Blackbaud’s responses to Requests for Proposals for strategic opportunities.
  • Coordinate demonstrations, proposals, professional services, and partner resources to present comprehensive solutions and advance complex sales cycles.
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline and provide timely, reliable sales forecasts.
  • Stay informed about relevant industry trends and share relevant insights with customers and colleagues.
  • Travel occasionally within Canada and the United States for customer engagements, industry conferences, and company meetings.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience selling large, complex solutions such as SaaS or CRM platforms; experience selling into higher education, nonprofit or public-sector organizations is a plus OR a minimum of 5 years of direct experience in a mission-driven sector; relevant backgrounds may include fundraising, advancement services, alumni relations, development operations, or donor engagement.
  • An interest in both expanding long-term customer relationships and developing new business.
  • Experience developing, managing or responding to RFPs.
  • A consultative approach and the ability to understand organizational needs, build a compelling case for change and gain stakeholder alignment.
  • Experience navigating complex organizations and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, planning and organizational skills.
  • The ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial, remote-first work environment.
  • Must be located in Canada; The Greater Toronto Area is preferred but not required.

The expected range of the annual salary and annual proposed commissions for this position is between $135,000 - $185,000 CAD. The final salary is influenced by qualifications, market value, sales quota, Company finances, and other operational considerations.
