Job Description

About the Role

As the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, Global Finance CoE, you will lead the establishment and ongoing delivery of Takeda’s centralized FP&A organization, principally based in Poland. You will build a high-performing global capability that strengthens financial stability and delivers clear, high-quality insights to support executive decision-making and long-term planning.

Partnering closely with executive leadership and finance leaders across corporate functions, business units and local operating companies, you will help bring previously decentralized planning, reporting, business partnering and analytical activities into a consistent global delivery model. Beginning with a defined scope supporting the International Business Unit (IBU), you will establish scalable processes and capabilities designed to support significant expansion of the Global Finance CoE over time.

How You Will Contribute

  • Lead the establishment, development and ongoing delivery of the centralized FP&A organization within the Global Finance CoE, principally based in Poland.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of approximately 20–25 FTE initially, with anticipated growth to approximately 60 FTE by mid-2028 as additional scope transitions into the CoE.
  • Establish scalable FP&A processes, standards and ways of working that can support future expansion across additional business units and functions.
  • Partner with executive leadership and finance leaders across corporate functions, business units and local operating companies to deliver high-quality financial insights that inform strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
  • Consolidate previously decentralized planning, reporting, business partnering and analytical activities into a consistent global delivery model.
  • Lead the initial delivery of dedicated FP&A services for the International Business Unit, supporting core markets and business clusters, while preparing the organization for additional scope.
  • Drive continuous improvement in process effectiveness and cost efficiency, identifying opportunities to simplify, standardize and strengthen FP&A delivery.
  • Champion the adoption of new digital and AI tools to enhance FP&A capabilities, efficiency and quality of insights.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance or a closely related finance discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience building and leading high-performing teams in a global, complex organization.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading teams and finance capabilities through periods of significant transition and organizational change.
  • Deep knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, reporting, business partnering and financial analysis.
  • Experience establishing standardized and scalable processes across multiple businesses, functions or geographies.
  • Strong executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner effectively across organizational boundaries.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights that support executive decision-making.
  • Strong continuous improvement mindset with experience improving process effectiveness and cost efficiency.
  • Interest in and experience leveraging digital capabilities, automation and AI to improve finance processes and decision support.
