The Posting

About the company

Our client is a healthcare company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Act as the dedicated coordinator for an assigned caseload of patients and their families, moving each case from initial inquiry through to follow-up. The work blends logistics across outside organizations, empathetic communication and helping establish processes for a newly forming team.

What you'll do

  • Serve as the primary contact for patients, relatives and treating physicians, keeping in touch through scheduled emails and video meetings across the whole journey.
  • Own each case from start to finish, gathering medical information, requesting records and managing consent paperwork so every step stays on schedule.
  • Work alongside scientific, medical and partnership colleagues, resolving administrative questions yourself and passing medical concerns to the right experts without delay.
  • Organize sample collection and shipping with physicians and laboratory partners, and follow each sample until results are available.
  • Guide candid discussions about risks, costs, billing and financial assistance with empathy and discretion.
  • Arrange practical support such as travel and appointment scheduling.
  • Keep case trackers up to date and maintain secure, accurate confidential files.
  • Help shape the end-to-end case management process as an early team member, and later coach and lead new case managers.

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Hands-on experience coordinating directly with patients or clients, for example in care coordination, case management, patient services or nurse navigation.
  • Demonstrated skill in leading emotionally difficult conversations in person with patients and their relatives, not only back-office administration.
  • Warm, clear communication when people are under stress.
  • Confidence managing intricate, deadline-driven logistics across many outside parties while keeping every detail on track.
  • Roughly 2 to 7 years of relevant experience, although strong candidates with less will be considered.
  • Ability to work in the office 3 to 4 days per week and to live in the Bay Area.
  • Openness to occasional brief work trips paid for by the employer.
  • Availability during US working hours.

Bonus points

  • Background in oncology, individualized therapy programs or clinical-trial enrollment.
  • Clinical training, such as nursing or a medical qualification.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare privacy rules, good clinical practice and sample handling procedures.
  • Experience setting up new processes from the ground up.
  • A university degree.

  • Base salary: USD 100,000 to 130,000 per year
  • Equity
  • Company-funded travel
  • Career growth into team leadership
