Accounting Manager

GHJ Search and Staffing serves as the recruitment division of GHJ, a prominent national accounting and advisory firm. Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and delegate responsibilities across the accounting team
• Lead month-end and year-end close and ensure reporting deadlines are met
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and related reconciliations
• Review balance sheet and income statement activity with the Corporate Controller
• Prepare financial analysis and special reporting for management
• Oversee ACH payments, wire transfers, and cash activity
• Prepare payroll journal entries, accruals, and other adjusting entries
• Support annual budgeting and financial planning
• Prepare year-end schedules and supporting documentation for the external tax accounting firm
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, accuracy, and efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• Strong hands-on accounting experience with knowledge of AP, AR, general ledger, and financial reporting
• Previous experience supervising or leading accounting staff
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting systems; QuickBooks experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, professional approach

Salary/Compensation: $100,000 annual equivalent
