ABOUT MANTA CARES
Navigating cancer is like embarking on a treacherous hike without a map, gear, or guide. Manta Cares is a beloved AI patient platform. We support cancer patients & their families through every one of the 500+ decisions that they will navigate.
We are a digital health company founded and led by cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and oncologists. We’re already partnering with several top life sciences companies (e.g., Gilead, Novartis), and healthcare systems. Our team brings over 50 years of combined healthcare experience, with backgrounds at McKinsey, BCG, Stanford, MIT, Harvard, IDEO, and ASCO. Backed by top-tier venture funds including Pear Ventures, Sozo Ventures, and 1843 Capital.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Our navigators, clinicians, and content team are the heart of the patient experience. We need a hands-on leader to run that function, scale it with AI, and grow it into a revenue-generating offering for our partners.
You will lead our navigator and content teams, partner with our Chief Medical Officer as we expand into new cancer types, and build AI-enabled workflows that help a small team serve many more patients. This is a builder role at a seed-stage company with real revenue, reporting to Founder & CEO, Samira Daswani. This role is based in San Francisco and is hybrid — 2 days a week in our SF office.

- Run fast experiments with clear success metrics and go or no-go calls
- Take on special projects as priorities shift, partnering with Samira on what matters most
- Hire, develop and lead a team of care specialists (navigators and content)
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Led a patient-facing support team (patient support, care coordination or member services) as a hands-on manager
- GM instincts: owned a budget, ran operations with clear metrics and made the call on what to staff versus automate
- Healthcare fluency: comfortable working alongside clinicians and with HIPAA
- AI-forward builder: has automated workflows or built tools others use
- Fast learner: ramps quickly on new clinical areas and new problems

- Built or scaled patient support or care operations at a digital health company

- You struggle with ambiguity, scoping, and prioritizing projects
- You need help with setting up AI tools/platforms to drive efficiencies
