Accounts Administrator (Part-time)

Zero Fire specialises in fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems, delivering complete fire protection solutions for residential, commercial and large-scale building projects. Protection of people and assets is at the heart of what they do.

Are you an organised, detail-driven accounts professional who loves getting the numbers right? We’re looking for a capable part-time Accounts Administrator (15-20 hours per week) to take ownership of day-to-day accounts, payroll and compliance across multiple companies.

The key responsibilities include:

• Managing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations and payment runs.
• Processing end-to-end payroll using Smartly, including timesheets, leave and allowances.
• Preparing GST and PAYE returns and ensuring NZ compliance requirements are met.
• Supporting the Business Manager with financial reporting and general administration.
• Keeping records accurate, deadlines on track and the details under control.

We’re looking for someone with:

Hands-on experience with Xero and payroll systems

• Experience managing accounts across multiple entities
• Solid knowledge of NZ GST, PAYE and employment-related payroll requirements
• Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and a proactive approach
• Clear communication skills and the confidence to work independently
