Senior Production Operator

Location: Jackson, MI area (onsite)

Type: Temp-to-perm · Full time · 3rd shift (overnight)

A plastics materials manufacturer near Jackson needs a senior operator to anchor its overnight shift. You will run blending and extrusion, handle SAP entries and train newer operators. It's a temp-to-perm role for someone ready to lead on nights.

What you'll do

• Set up and run blending and extrusion equipment in every area on the overnight shift
• Weigh to recipe, monitor production and troubleshoot equipment and process issues
• Complete all SAP production transactions accurately
• Bring samples to quality control and adjust batches as the lab directs
• Train new and returning operators and lead by example on nights
• Finish shift logs, batch records and handoff notes

What you bring

• 3+ years in blending, mixing, extrusion, or plastics or chemical manufacturing
• SAP experience (required)
• Current forklift certification
• Qualified in both blending and extrusion, and comfortable working overnight
• Experience training others; comfortable in full PPE
• Able to lift 55 lbs regularly; high school diploma or GED
