Job Description

The Technical Solutions Consultant serves as the primary technical advisor for clients leveraging Visa Clearing Services and Cybersource Acceptance Solutions. Acting as a trusted partner to clients and internal stakeholders, this role is responsible for guiding customers through the end-to-end acquiring payment lifecycle while ensuring successful solution delivery, operational excellence, and long-term service optimization.

Combining implementation expertise, technical consulting, stakeholder coordination, and operational support, the Consultant works closely with clients, strategic service delivery partners, and cross-functional teams to support acquiring-related initiatives across transaction authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, dispute processing, exception management, and operational incident resolution.

The Consultant plays a key role throughout the customer lifecycle, supporting solution onboarding, implementation activities, production readiness, and ongoing operational performance. This includes translating business requirements into technical solutions, coordinating complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders, and ensuring customer requirements are accurately reflected in solution designs, technical documentation, and implementation plans.

Working in partnership with Product, Operations, Technology, Risk, Finance, Network, Account Management, and external service providers, the Consultant drives issue resolution, facilitates technical discussions, manages escalations, and helps ensure that services operate reliably and meet both customer and business expectations.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical acumen, payment industry expertise, and exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to serve as a trusted advisor while supporting clients across implementation, production support, operational governance, and continuous service improvement.

  • Coordinate technical discussions, stakeholder communications, and cross-functional activities throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Monitor production environments, transaction flows, and operational performance to identify risks, issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead the investigation, coordination, escalation, and resolution of technical and operational issues impacting customer services.
  • Ensure incidents, service requests, and partner-managed activities are tracked through timely resolution and communicated effectively to stakeholders.
  • Provide expertise across the acquiring payment lifecycle, including authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, dispute processing, reversals, and exception management.
