Role Overview

As a Peri-Operative Assistant, you play a vital role in supporting the Operating Room team by ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient environment for surgical procedures. You¿ll assist with patient transport, O.R. preparation, equipment sterilization, and patient positioning, contributing directly to the success of surgical operations and patient comfort.

What You Will Do

• Prepare and clean the operating room, ensuring a sterile environment for surgical procedures.
• Assist with patient transport, positioning, and safety during intra-operative procedures.
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical equipment according to established protocols.
• Support pre/post-operative patient care under the supervision of registered nurses.
• Respond to emergent situations following established procedures.
• Participate in ongoing education to enhance skills and knowledge in peri-operative care.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in surgical services, sterile processing, patient care environment, or related departments.
• Current BLS-A Certification or ability to become certified within one month of job start date.

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical Assistant and/or Nursing Assistant certification.
