Security Officer/Transporter (Per Diem)

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Having previous experience as a fireman, policeman, public safety, military, or watchman is desirable.
• Must have the ability to speak, read, write, and follow written and oral instructions.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Must have valid BLS certification.
• Must have the ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for long periods without becoming winded or extremely fatigued. Manual dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination are necessary.
• Must be able to participate in mandatory semi-annual Defensive Tactics Training, which is physically demanding.
• Must have the ability to perform repetitive duties in making tours of buildings and grounds.
• Must have the ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively along with paying attention to detail.
• Exhibits an ability and attitude relative to the spirit of caring and tradition at Calvary Hospital as required by specific job duties and functions.

Physical Requirements:

• Very Heavy Work: Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Responsibilities:

Our Security Officer/Transporter patrols hospital and grounds to prevent fires, theft, vandalism and illegal entry. Transports supply, pharmaceuticals and equipment for events and activities to and from the satellite units or other locations as needed.

Job Type: Per diem; Day, Weekends

Salary: $27.4134/hourly
