Kitchen Porter

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in Dublin, Ireland. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency of our kitchen operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment whilst developing your skills in food service support. Your commitment to maintaining high standards will directly contribute to the smooth running of our kitchen and the satisfaction of our customers. - Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, equipment, and storage facilities in accordance with established protocols and health and safety regulations

• Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, including peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients as directed by senior team members - Remove and dispose of waste and recyclable materials in compliance with environmental and health and safety standards - Perform general kitchen cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitising work surfaces and equipment to the highest standards
• Restock supplies and ensure all necessary items are readily available to support kitchen operations and service flow - Maintain consistent awareness of food safety and hygiene standards at all times, reporting any concerns promptly - Work efficiently and collaboratively during peak service times to support the overall kitchen operation and team objectives
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to management promptly to ensure minimal disruption - Follow all health, safety, and food handling procedures established by the organisation with meticulous attention - Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when priorities change during service, maintaining a positive and resilient approach - Contribute to a supportive and inclusive kitchen environment by communicating effectively with all team members
• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar hospitality support role (desirable) - Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards with demonstrated commitment to compliance - Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
• Physical stamina and capability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks - Excellent organisational and time-keeping skills with reliability and punctuality - Meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
• Strong teamwork and people skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues - Willingness to follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities with a positive and motivated attitude - Basic knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures (desirable) - Health and Safety awareness and commitment to organisational compliance requirements
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team - Flexibility and resilience in a dynamic working environment, demonstrating adaptability to changing demands - Manual dexterity and good coordination for handling kitchen equipment and materials safely - Positive attitude and genuine willingness to learn and develop within the role
