The Posting

About the company

Our client is a fast-growing software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. This role places an attorney inside engineering teams to help shape new product features from early design through release. The work centers on testing the quality of AI-generated output, turning legal requirements into build specifications, and writing code to ship changes. Candidates should bring substantive legal depth along with a hands-on, technical approach.

What you'll do

  • Work alongside engineering squads on feature development, serving as the legal advisor throughout the build.
  • Design and carry out structured tests that measure AI output quality against high legal standards and rival models.
  • Convert legal workflows and user feedback into product specifications and acceptance criteria.
  • Write and submit code with AI coding assistants to deliver fixes and new capabilities.
  • Prepare sales and solutions staff to present new features to clients.

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Licensed attorney with law firm training, plus some in-house experience.
  • Five or more years of legal experience.
  • Law degree from a top 100 law school.
  • Deep substantive knowledge in at least one area of law, such as corporate, privacy, compliance, employment or fintech.
  • Prior use of generative AI on legal tasks, including judging the quality of what it produces.
  • Proficiency with AI tools that goes well past casual personal use.
  • Willingness to work in a codebase and adopt a builder mindset.
  • Organized, with the ability to coordinate delivery and communicate clearly across disciplines.
  • A record of stable tenure in previous roles.

  • Prior legal work in commercial sectors such as financial services, retail, or consumer goods.
  • Training at a large, well-regarded law firm.
