The Posting

Make an impact through challenging engagements with banks, payment institutions, FinTechs, asset managers and insurers. Translate complex risk management challenges into practical, innovative and efficient solutions. At Deloitte.

As a Consultant, you will:

  • Help financial institutions develop and implement strategies that address new and existing regulations, with a focus on operational risk and integrity, digital financial regulation, and consumer protection.
  • Help clients innovate their business models, develop new products and enter new markets.
  • Address shortcomings in internal processes and systems related to regulatory requirements, using data and technology to tackle compliance challenges more effectively and innovatively.
  • Balance the intent of laws and regulations with the business strategies of our financial services clients.
  • Improve risk management across organisations and programmes.
  • Contribute to internal service offerings and committees within the Regulatory, Data & Reporting team, and develop your skills through training programmes.

You enjoy finding new ways to solve complex problems and adapt readily to change. Above all, you feel confident being yourself—bringing your strengths, perspective and personality to your work. As a Consultant, you also bring:

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience, for example in consulting, banking, a regulatory authority or FinTech, together with a strong interest in the financial sector, regulation, AI and/or organisational processes.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in areas such as risk management, regulation, AI and technology, and an interest in applying them to compliance and risk challenges.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach, with the ability to take ownership in multidisciplinary projects, collaborate effectively and share knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for solving complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, enabling you to build professional relationships with clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

The financial sector faces continual challenges: evolving regulation, increasingly complex data requirements and the need to embed sustainability in business operations. You will join the Regulatory, Data & Reporting team, a dynamic group that helps financial institutions transform their operations to manage risk and seize new market opportunities in a regulated environment.

As a Consultant in the Regulatory, Data & Reporting team, you will support clients through a range of transformations, helping them manage risk through innovative, hands-on guidance. You will help clients navigate complex new laws and regulations while assessing whether they have the right people, organisational structures and supporting processes in place. You will think creatively while working within clients’ strategies and risk appetites, creating meaningful impact for both clients and society. The team also offers opportunities to develop your expertise in emerging trends, including AI, geopolitics and data.
