Credit & Customer Experience Officer

Do you enjoy assisting customers and solving problems? Our Credit Control team is looking for a Credit & Customer Experience Officer to support customers with their accounts and payments. Making sure every interaction every interaction is a positive one while keeping accounts in good order.

What you’ll be doing

• Being the first point of contact for customers calling about their accounts
• Helping customers understand their balances and resolving billing and payment queries
• Agreeing workable payment solutions with customers and arranging the return of equipment where needed
• Working with other departments to resolve customer issues end to end
• Reviewing sales made by other departments to make sure they meet credit requirements
• Keeping customer records accurate and up to date
• Supporting the team’s back-office processes and controls
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in Maltese and English
• A customer-first attitude, with patience and empathy in difficult conversations
• Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to find solutions that work for both the customer and the business
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage deadlines
• ‘O’ Level standard of education
• Experience in customer service, a contact centre or an accounts role is an advantage but not essential
