Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an exceptionally talented Planner to join our site-based Construction Supervision team on a major landmark development project in Riyadh.

The project comprises the design, enabling, and main works for a large-scale destination development featuring several iconic assets, hospitality facilities, and supporting infrastructure. Delivered under a client governance framework with stringent programme, quality, safety, and sustainability requirements, the Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC) is responsible for providing independent, end-to-end supervision and management, ensuring that all works are completed, integrated, tested, commissioned, and handed over to support both successful operations and long-term legacy objectives.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 for construction supervision activities.
  • Establish project baselines and monitor progress against approved schedules, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Review contractors' baseline schedules, recovery plans, and progress updates to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Perform critical path analysis, schedule health checks, and what-if scenario assessments to support decision-making.
  • Analyze project progress, milestones, delays, and potential risks, providing recommendations for mitigation and recovery strategies.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and client representatives to ensure alignment of project schedules and activities.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, look-ahead schedules, and executive summaries for project leadership and the client.
  • Monitor key project performance indicators (KPIs) and support forecasting of project completion dates.
  • Evaluate extension of time (EOT) submissions, delay analyses, and time impact assessments.
  • Support change management processes by assessing schedule impacts arising from variations and scope changes.
  • Facilitate progress review meetings and provide planning expertise throughout all phases of project execution.
  • Mentor junior planners and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, tools, templates, and reporting processes.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of planning and scheduling experience on large-scale infrastructure, landscaping, urban development, or construction projects.
  • Strong proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid understanding of CPM scheduling, baseline management, progress measurement, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience reviewing and monitoring contractor schedules within a construction supervision environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary project environment.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP, AACE PSP, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of schedule risk analysis and planning best practices.
  • Familiarity with delay analysis, extension of time evaluations, and claims management.
  • Experience with reporting and dashboard tools such as Power BI.
  • Understanding of Saudi Arabian project delivery requirements and working with government clients is preferred.
