The Posting

About the company

Our client is a fast-growing software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own the complete sales cycle as an early commercial hire, partnering closely with senior leadership to convert an informal, founder-driven selling approach into a structured and repeatable process. The work goes beyond carrying a quota to shaping how the sales function qualifies, prospects and communicates its value.

What you'll do

  • Manage deals from initial contact to signed agreement across small, mid-sized and large accounts.
  • Build your own pipeline through cold calls, tailored prospecting, email, social selling and events.
  • Write up a repeatable sales playbook covering qualification standards, deal stages and forecasting habits.
  • Guide larger deals through security assessments, purchasing, legal review and groups of decision makers.
  • Work with company leadership and product colleagues to experiment with positioning, pricing and packaging, and to help decide how to approach bigger accounts.

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • A consistent record of meeting or beating quota, ideally without ever missing.
  • Roughly 4 to 8 years in sales overall, with at least 2 of those years carrying a closing quota.
  • Hands-on experience running software sales from first call to close, and generating your own leads.
  • Demonstrated wins with mid-sized business buyers.
  • Prior account executive experience at a recognized sales or go-to-market technology vendor.

Bonus points

  • Recognition as a top performer, such as a President's Club award.
  • Familiarity with competing or adjacent go-to-market technology products.
  • Background in an early-stage, loosely structured company.
  • Confidence working through purchasing, security and multi-party approval processes.

Benefits

Compensation and benefits

  • Base salary: USD 125,000 per year
  • Uncapped commission
  • Equity
  • Clear path toward sales leadership

Location and work model

  • San Francisco, CA, United States
  • On-site, 5 days per week in office
  • Full-time
