The Posting

Quippy (YC F26) is a daily practice room for the conversations people dread. You pick a real situation, like disagreeing with your manager or starting a conversation at a party, rehearse it with a realistic scene partner by voice or text, and get honest, line-by-line feedback on what landed. The app is live on the App Store.

You will be our first designer. You will own how Quippy looks and feels on the iPhone, work side by side with engineering, and see your designs in people's hands within days.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Design new features end to end, from rough flows to finished screens
  • Shape the conversation screen, where people talk with a scene partner by voice or text
  • Make feedback feel kind and honest at the same time
  • Grow the Quippy design system, its motion, and its mascot

YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF

  • You have shipped app screens that people use every day
  • You care about small details: spacing, timing, the words on a button
  • You prototype to answer questions instead of debating them
  • You can explain why a design works, and change your mind when users show you otherwise

WHY JOIN NOW

  • A founding role with shares in the company
  • You work directly with Jonathan, the founder
  • What you build reaches real users within days
  • A small team in San Francisco, backed by Y Combinator

Full-time. San Francisco preferred, remote work possible. Competitive salary and stock in the company.
