The Posting
We are looking for a Group Account Director to lead a new studio for a single, major enterprise account. In this role, you will spearhead the leadership team of a Group Creative Director and Executive Producer and lead and coach an account team to drive commercial rigor, and act as a strategic advisor to C-suite-level clients.
Reporting to the General Manager, this role focuses on driving retention, growth, and operational rigor across multiple accounts while building strong executive relationships and a high-performing account leadership bench.
What you'll do
- Own account-level performance across revenue, retention, and delivery quality for this major enterprise client.
- Guide the long-term account strategy, deeply embedding within the client's business to ensure alignment with their overarching goals.
- Spearhead the studio leadership team (partnering closely with the Group Creative Director and Executive Producer) and coach the broader account team to raise performance and consistency.
- Drive commercial rigor within the account, including forecasting accuracy, complex deal structuring, and navigating major contract renewals.
- Identify and resolve systemic delivery, resourcing, and operational challenges within the dedicated studio structure.
- Act as the primary escalation point for high-stakes client situations and strategic expansion opportunities.
- Partner with the General Manager to provide clear, actionable insights on account health, growth trajectories, and studio operations.
- Strengthen executive relationships, acting as a trusted, consultative advisor to C-suite and senior client stakeholders.
- Ensure consistent application of processes, workflows, and best practices within the dedicated studio team.
- Drive continuous improvement in how the studio delivers, scales, and operates for the client.
What you'll need to succeed
- 12–18+ years of experience in agency, consulting, or client services leadership roles.
- Proven ownership of revenue, retention, and growth for multi-million dollar, single enterprise accounts.
- Experience managing, developing, and aligning cross-functional studio leaders (e.g., creative, production, and account management).
- Strong commercial acumen, including complex contract negotiations, forecasting, deal structuring, and margin management for large-scale accounts.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels, deeply embedded within a single major client's business context.
- Strong executive communication skills with a track record of successfully advising and influencing C-suite stakeholders.
- Experience identifying and resolving systemic operational challenges within dedicated or bespoke team structures.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into strategic action.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and align studio leadership toward a unified vision without direct authority over all disciplines.
- Strong business judgment and poise in high-stakes, high-visibility client situations.
