The Posting

Who we are

We’re bold thinkers and kind teammates, growing fast but staying grounded. Our Nordic roots and global outlook shape a culture of friendliness, creativity, and collaboration, all powered by openness and shared wins. We care deeply about doing the right thing - and doing it together. We aim to improve the flow of goods, time, and energy - and we know we can’t shape the future by clinging to the past. So, we keep evolving, together.

What we do

RELEX runs the planning decisions behind 700+ retailers and manufacturers worldwide, deciding, at real scale, what gets forecast, stocked, priced, promoted, and produced across the entire value chain. Few problems combine this much data, this much complexity, and this much real-world weight: get it right and a shelf stays stocked, a factory line doesn’t stall, food doesn’t rot in a warehouse before it’s sold. Get it wrong, and it shows up in actual losses, for some of the largest retail and manufacturing brands in the world.
We’ve grown for 76 consecutive quarters straight, and it’s accelerating: the first half of 2026 was the strongest in the company’s history, with new contract value up 83% year over year. We’re a team of 2,000+ people, headquartered in Helsinki, with offices across Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific.

The role

We are looking for a Product Engineer for our Manufacturing engineering team in the US, embedded in our largest and fastest-growing market. You will be the R&D face of RELEX to US manufacturers, combining engineering ability with real customer presence. You will own high-impact deployments from the first demo through to production, working directly with customers to make sure our solutions deliver measurable business outcomes.

What you’ll do

  • Engage across the full customer organization, from executive sponsors to the planners and production supervisors who run your solution day to day
  • Lead requirements end to end: gather, understand, workshop, challenge and agree on what customers actually need, not just what they ask for. You are the person who makes sure we build the right thing
  • Build and ship the solution yourself: RELEX configuration, plugins, Python, and integrations, running in live customer environments. Where the core product needs to change, you work with central engineering to get the improvement into core rather than engineering around it
  • Own the results of what you build and stay accountable until it works, with success defined in measurable terms

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in manufacturing planning (demand, production or supply planning), gained in industry or in consulting
  • Strong business acumen, able to translate technical work into measurable business impact and communicate it clearly
  • Comfortable managing ambiguity, learning fast and taking full ownership of outcomes
  • Fluent with AI tools in your daily work, and keen to help the team use them to deliver faster
  • Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of SQL, with the instincts to make sense of complex multi-site data. Python or scripting experience is a plus.
  • A solid grasp of heuristics and constrained optimization. You can reason about why a solver produced the plan it did, and what to change to get a better one
  • Enough machine learning literacy to work with forecasting models: diagnose why a forecast is wrong, and explain it to a customer without hiding behind the model
  • Experience working directly with customers in a technical or solutions role. US customer experience is a plus

What we offer

  • Flexibility in how and where you work
  • Room to grow in a fast-moving global company with a strong market position
  • Practical benefits supporting work, family, wellness, and everyday life
  • Ownership, autonomy, and flat hierarchies
  • Work that meaningfully reduces waste and improves sustainability
  • A diverse, inclusive, and supportive work culture
  • Two paid volunteering days each year

Before you apply

You must be authorized to work in the United States. This role does not offer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

You must be based in the US and available for regular domestic travel to customer sites and production facilities. This is a field-embedded role, not a remote position.

We are a global community of different cultures, voices, and experiences. We celebrate what makes us unique and connect through what we share, in an authentic and safe environment.

Apply today and be part of the future.
