Our client is a healthcare technology startup developing AI-powered software for medical practices. Its engineering team owns both product decisions and implementation.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Join as a Senior Software Engineer with ownership over complete product areas. The work is roughly split between writing code and defining product direction, including customer conversations and user-experience decisions.

What you'll do

• Own product features from discovery and design through backend implementation and release.
• Build and scale core backend systems.
• Work directly with technical leadership on architecture and delivery.
• Use AI development tools while taking responsibility for production quality.
• Make product decisions and speak with customers without relying on a separate product manager.

Requirements

What we're looking for

• 3 to 6 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Strong backend engineering and end-to-end systems ownership.
• Hands-on experience with AI or LLM-powered product features.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Ability to combine coding with product definition and design judgment.
• Comfort delivering independently in a fast-moving environment.

Bonus points

• Startup experience.
• Independent projects or side products with meaningful revenue.

Benefits

Compensation and benefits

• Base salary: USD 200,000 to 300,000 per year.
• Equity: 0.75-1.25%.
• A performance-based bonus may be available for top talent.

Location and work model

• Manhattan, New York, United States.
• Five days per week onsite plus a sixth working day remotely on Saturday.
