The Posting

About the company

Our client is a fast-growing software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own the complete sales process for a technical software product, generating your own leads and winning new business. You will partner with company leadership to shape messaging and the go-to-market approach in an early-stage setting.

What you'll do

  • Generate leads through proactive outreach and win new customer accounts.
  • Manage every stage of the sales process, from first contact through discovery, demonstration, trial, negotiation and signing.
  • Present a technical product to revenue-focused teams and explain its value in plain business language.
  • Help build and refine the sales playbook, messaging and strategy alongside company leadership.
  • Balance quick-turnaround deals with longer sales engagements while working toward an annual closed-revenue goal.

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • At least 3 years of experience as a quota-carrying Account Executive owning the full sales cycle and winning new business.
  • A proven record of meeting a seven-figure-range annual bookings target, measured on closed deals rather than pipeline.
  • Background selling AI-related products at startups.
  • Experience selling technical products and explaining integrations and data considerations in terms of business benefit.
  • Experience selling automation or AI-enabled tools to go-to-market teams.
  • Experience closing mid-market deals with sales cycles ranging from days to a couple of months.
  • Experience at a high-growth startup or scale-up, including an early move from SDR into an AE role.
  • A driven, high-ownership mindset and comfort with ambiguity in an early-stage environment.

Bonus points

  • Experience building your own lead flow through outbound activity rather than relying on inbound or passed-along opportunities.
  • Clearly quantified performance results, such as quota attainment or sales rankings.
  • A visibly competitive background, such as competitive athletics.
  • A strong academic record.
