Ready to take your career global?

Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for an CDD Operational Performance Manager to join our ever evolving Enterprise Customer Due Diligence (CDD) team and help shape the future of global commerce.

About the role

As a CDD Operational Performance Officer, you’ll play a key role in strengthening our CDD control environment ensuring it remains effective, scalable and aligned to our risk appetite. You’ll use insight, assurance and data-driven analysis to identify opportunities for improvement, strengthen decision-making and support consistent outcomes across the customer lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to influence how we manage risk, enhance operational performance and embed a culture of continuous improvement across CDD.

What you’ll own

  • Leading risk-based quality reviews, thematic assurance activities and controls testing across Onboarding and Ongoing Monitoring, assessing adherence to AML, KYC, EDD and risk framework standards.
  • Providing expert challenge on complex CDD decisions, EDD outcomes, risk assessments and control weaknesses, ensuring decisions are robust, well documented and aligned to policy expectations.
  • Identifying systemic issues, material control deficiencies and emerging operational risks through thematic reviews, root cause analysis and post-implementation validation of remediation actions.
  • Assessing automated workflows, system-generated outputs, data integrity and AI-enabled processes to ensure accuracy, consistency and effective risk management across the customer lifecycle.
  • Building strong relationships across Advisory, Delivery, Quality, Operations and Risk teams, contributing to governance forums and driving continuous improvement that strengthens customer outcomes, operational efficiency and control effectiveness.

What you’ll bring

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar assurance, quality or controls role, such as first line Quality Assurance, second line Compliance or Internal Audit.
  • Strong knowledge of AML, KYC, CDD and EDD requirements, with the ability to assess documentation quality, risk assessment accuracy and decision-making standards.
  • Demonstrable experience of systems and control testing, including assessing design and operating effectiveness across manual, automated and data-driven controls.
  • The ability to lead independently on thematic reviews, compliance assessments or assurance engagements, from scoping and testing through to reporting and remediation oversight.
  • Confident communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide clear, pragmatic feedback, robust challenge and practical recommendations for improvement.

It’s a bonus if you have

  • A relevant professional qualification in financial crime, such as ICA or ACAMS.
  • Experience or formal learning in AI in Compliance, automation assurance or technology-enabled risk management.
  • Coaching, mentoring or some line management experience, with the ability to support capability development and help others perform at their best.
