The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Lead and expand a field engineering group that installs and commissions technology in customer production facilities. This is a high-autonomy leadership position with significant travel to customer sites.

What you'll do

  • Reset team priorities each week, assigning people to projects and rebalancing workloads when problems surface.
  • Find enterprise rollouts that have stalled in any region and get them moving again, including handling difficult customer calls alongside sales colleagues.
  • Present the deployment approach to mid-market and enterprise prospects before contracts are signed, and drive growth across additional sites.
  • Recruit field engineers in the US and abroad, and coach them with prompt feedback after each customer visit.
  • Conduct metrics, forecast and capacity reviews with company leadership.
  • Bring field learnings into product planning and help establish deployment work as a regular chargeable service.

  • Background in industrial automation, robotics or process manufacturing.
  • A strong customer-first mindset, shown through concrete examples.
  • Excellent people skills for working with customers and colleagues, including mentoring engineers.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 25% to 50% of the time, including internationally.
