The Posting

The Director of Partnerships is responsible for sourcing and closing high stakes deals at FutureSearch.

FutureSearch's business and research depend on relationships with a small, but growing, number of very high profile organizations and individuals. We operate on the bleeding edge of the fastest moving technology in human history, which makes it a world-class challenge to model the needs of these organizations and discovering opportunities for rapid growth. Our work has already had an impact on decision making at the highest levels, and the Director of Partnerships will take this even further.

Partnerships include relations with technology and data providers, FutureSearch's investors and grantors, and our customers. In particular, frontier AI labs are both our major suppliers and our major customers, and working with them constitutes a major part of this role.

The Director of Partnerships works closely with the VP of Research and the CEO.

Requirements

  • A strong technical background
  • A track record of reaching 6+ figure deals that led to successful outcomes
  • Skill in contract negotiation
  • A robust pre-existing network of contacts in and around AI research
  • Excellent empathy, a top 5% sense of what somebody really wants from a single video call
  • Great ambition in positively influencing the direction of frontier AI

Benefits

As a remote company, we have flexible hours, with required synchronous attendance for critical US - Europe overlap hours (~7-10am Pacific).

We are a seed stage startup, and we offer higher-than-average equity for startups of our stage.

We offer full benefits, depending on the country, including healthcare, paternity/maternity leave, equipment, and travel expenses.

Salary range is $160k - $240k for US roles, and adjusted for the local labor market outside the US.
