Carlisle is seeking a Manufacturing Feasibility Engineer to provide front-end manufacturing and equipment feasibility support for new and modified product concepts. You’ll be the engineering bridge between New Product Development, R&D, and Central Engineering, turning product specifications and design intent into process, equipment, and scale-up requirements for continuous manufacturing.

What You’ll Do

  • Assess new product concepts for manufacturing feasibility early in the Product Development Process
  • Translate design intent into process and equipment requirements for continuous operations
  • Develop user requirement specifications, functional specifications, and scope documents to support equipment selection and capital projects
  • Conduct feasibility, capacity, and throughput studies, and identify process gaps and equipment modifications
  • Build rough-order-of-magnitude cost and timing estimates, and support business cases and risk assessments
  • Partner with R&D and NPD on scale-up from bench or pilot to full production, including trials and validation
  • Define process parameters, line layouts, and integration needs, working with automation and controls teams
  • Deliver clean front-end handoffs to capital project engineering
  • Collaborate with operations, quality, supply chain, EHS, equipment vendors, and system integrators
  • Document feasibility work and lessons learned, and manage contract engineering partners
  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Controls, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (equivalent experience considered)
  • 6+ years in manufacturing, process, or equipment engineering, ideally in continuous or high-volume environments
  • Experience translating product requirements into process and equipment specifications
  • Experience supporting equipment selection, procurement, installation, and commissioning
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and project prioritization skills
  • Preferred: PLC/HMI/SCADA knowledge, capital project experience, Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt+, CAD skills, stage-gate experience, and OEM or integrator experience

Travel: Approximately 10–25% for trials, vendor visits, and site support.
