TECHNICAL SALES ENGINEER WANTED

FMCG PROBLEM‑SOLVER & PERFORMANCE BOOSTER

Do you come alive diagnosing issues others can’t see and boosting productivity where it matters most?
Do you thrive in fast‑paced FMCG environments, talking to production managers, engineers and operators to uncover the real root cause of downtime?
If you’re driven by results, responsibility and relationships, this is where you’ll shine.

The Opportunity

Join us as a Technical Sales Engineer, where every day you turn technical know‑how into real‑world performance.
You’ll be the trusted expert on-site—spotting inefficiencies, running line trials, optimising adhesives, and guiding factories to better uptime, cleaner operation and higher profitability.

You’ll diagnose. You’ll improve. You’ll advise...and you’ll do it in some of the most dynamic FMCG plants in the UK.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

  • Walk FMCG production lines, uncovering pain points and improving OEE.
  • Deliver fast, effective troubleshooting—both on-site and over the phone.
  • Run high‑impact product trials with a 90%+ success target.
  • Recommend system upgrades, build technical quotes and present clear, commercial reports.
  • Grow after‑sales revenue through smart parts and consumables support.
  • Represent a business where Productivity and Profitability drive every decision—backed by planet‑friendly solutions.

What “Good” Looks Like

You’re hungry. You’re sharp. You know your kit—Nordson, HHS, Valco, Meler, Krones, case packers, carton sealers and more.
You enjoy being in factories, sleeves rolled, making the application run better today than it did yesterday.
You communicate clearly, build trust quickly, and love helping customers operate at peak performance.

Must‑Haves

  • 3+ years FMCG factory experience
  • Hands‑on exposure to hot melt adhesives
  • Confident communicator—phone & face‑to‑face
  • Understanding of FMCG adhesive‑based equipment
  • Full UK driving licence

Nice to Have

  • Engineering degree
  • A‑level Science or above

Benefits

Salary £40,000-£50,000 (neg) Plus Bonus
