We’re looking for an Associate Director who combines strong property and commercial knowledge with the ability to solve complex problems, lead client engagements and develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
Based in Canberra, you’ll take a hands-on role in delivering significant assignments, while contributing to business development and the growth of our advisory practice.

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Lead complex property and infrastructure advisory engagements, from defining the client’s problem through to recommendations and implementation pathways.
  • Advise on commercial structures, development opportunities, transaction strategies and risk allocation.
  • Lead or support property transactions, procurement processes, commercial negotiations and evaluation activities.
  • Translate financial, market, policy and stakeholder evidence into clear, practical advice.
  • Manage engagement scope, budgets, resources, timelines and quality.
  • Build relationships with senior clients and contribute to proposals, pitches and new opportunities.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams and mentor junior colleagues.

About you

You bring relevant experience in property, infrastructure or commercial advisory, supported by strong consulting and stakeholder management skills.

Your background may include a consulting practice, property advisory business, development organization or government land agency. You may already be operating at Associate Director level or be an experienced Manager ready to take the next step.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience advising on complex property or infrastructure matters, structured transactions or commercial negotiations.
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to analyse financial information, assess risk and challenge assumptions.
  • Clear business writing, presentation and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
  • An interest in building client relationships and contributing to business growth.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in property, economics, finance, planning, engineering, architecture, commerce or a related discipline.

This role is based in Canberra. We welcome interest from candidates willing to relocate.

Why join us?

You’ll work on complex assignments with tangible client outcomes, collaborate with specialists across our national business and help develop an expanding advisory practice. The role offers a combination of technical delivery, client leadership and business development.
