The Posting

XNRGY Climate Systems is a North American leader in the sustainable design and advanced manufacturing of custom air-treatment, thermal-management, and liquid-cooling systems. With decades of HVAC engineering and manufacturing expertise, XNRGY delivers innovative, energy-efficient solutions for mission-critical industries, including hyperscale and modular data centers, healthcare, clean rooms, life sciences, semiconductors, and advanced manufacturing.

Our United States technology headquarters and manufacturing facility opened in Mesa, Arizona, in 2025. As XNRGY continues building its Service and Commissioning organization, we are seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to support our growing installed base of chillers, computer room air handlers (CRAHs), and fan coil wall systems.

The role

The Reliability Engineer acts as a product subject-matter expert across both chillers and air-side equipment. You will work with field data and technicians to understand issues that occur onsite (and their downstream effects), then drive those issues through the right escalation channels end-to-end until procedures are updated or the issue is closed.

You will also bring quality discipline—using structured root-cause methods and metrics—to turn field findings into lasting improvements.

What you will do

  • Serve as an SME on both chiller and air-side products, interpreting field data and partnering with technicians to diagnose onsite issues and their after-effects.
  • Own escalations end-to-end: route findings to the correct channels, drive corrective actions, and close them with updated procedures, documentation, or process changes.
  • Lead structured root-cause analysis (8D, five-whys, fishbone, or equivalent) and track related quality metrics.
  • Translate field and quality findings into practical updates for service procedures, troubleshooting guides, and product/process improvements.
  • Provide senior technical support to field and commissioning teams as needed (remote and occasional onsite).

What you bring

  • 5+ years of experience with complex electromechanical equipment in field service, product support, sustaining engineering, reliability, or a quality-focused role (SQE or similar exposure is a plus).
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of technical education and demonstrated engineering-level competence. Military technical training combined with a strong field-service record may also satisfy this requirement.
  • Hands-on experience working with field data and technicians to diagnose real equipment issues.
  • Demonstrated use of structured root-cause methodologies (8D, five-whys, fishbone) and comfort with quality metrics and processes.
  • Ability to drive issues end-to-end through escalation channels to verified closure and updated procedures.
  • Strong diagnostic ability across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
  • Clear technical communication and credibility with field personnel.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Willingness to travel approximately as needed to active data-center sites (higher during significant events).

What will set you apart

  • Deep product knowledge of both centrifugal chillers/refrigeration systems and air-side equipment (CRAHs, fan coil systems).
  • Prior quality or Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) experience.
  • Commissioning experience or exposure to VFDs, PLCs, BACnet/Modbus, or BMS integration.
  • Experience managing service BOMs, parts catalogs, or formal quality tools (FMEA, Six Sigma).

What we offer

  • Annual performance incentive plan
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Retirement benefits and employee assistance program
  • Paid time off
  • Full funding for applicable trade, safety, and quality certifications
  • Company-provided laptop, mobile device, instruments, and PPE
  • Path toward senior engineering, product service engineering, or engineering management
  • Dynamic, fast-growing team supporting a green-industry transformation and the AI revolution
  • Inclusive workplace with internal growth opportunities

At XNRGY Climate Systems, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We believe that a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives is essential to driving innovation and achieving success. We welcome individuals who share our passion for sustainability and are eager to contribute to a more positive environmental future.
