Solar & Battery Site Manager

In line with our increasing business, we are looking for a Site Manager, Solar and Battery to project manage and work in various renewable energy projects in the Philippines and elsewhere in the APAC region.

The Solar & Battery Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the construction, installation, and commissioning of solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects. This role ensures that site activities are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with technical, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Site Management & Execution

• Manage day-to-day site operations for solar PV and battery storage installation.
• Supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
• Ensure construction activities follow approved drawings, specifications, and project plans.
• Monitor project schedule and progress; report delays and propose corrective actions.

Technical Oversight

• Coordinate installation of solar modules, inverters, transformers, battery containers, and electrical systems.
• Review method statements, inspection test plans (ITP), and work procedures.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with standards.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Enforce site safety rules and ensure compliance with local HSE regulations.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
• Report and investigate incidents or near-misses.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with project engineers, design teams, client representatives, and local authorities.
• Coordinate grid connection activities with utility providers.
• Manage site documentation and daily progress reporting.

Cost & Resource Control

• Track material deliveries and site inventory.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and productivity.
• Support cost control by minimizing rework and wastage.

Testing & Commissioning

• Support testing, commissioning, and handover of solar and battery systems.
• Ensure as-built documentation and completion reports are submitted.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in solar PV or power plant construction projects.
• Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with site construction management, QA/QC, and HSE practices.
• Knowledge of Philippine electrical codes and grid interconnection processes is preferred.
• Strong leadership and subcontractor management experience.
• Willingness to be based at project site in the Philippines.
