Civil Litigation Associate or Partner

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a trial-focused civil litigation practice as an associate with 7 or more years of experience, or as a partner. You will handle matters from inception through trial and gain substantial hands-on courtroom experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage civil litigation matters from inception through trial.
• Draft discovery requests and responses, and prepare substantive motions.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Participate in trials as first or second chair.
• Communicate directly with clients, insurance carriers, and claims handlers.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• At least 7 years of post-bar experience in civil litigation or transferable courtroom practice.
• Active admission to the New York State Bar and experience practicing in New York.
• Insurance defense experience, including motion practice and depositions.
• Strong legal writing skills and a demonstrated interest in trial work.
• Comfort with a 2,000-hour annual billable requirement and an on-site work arrangement.
• First- or second-chair trial experience is relevant.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary range: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

LOCATION

On-site in Fishkill, New York. Candidates should be able to commute to the office.
