Responsibilities

  • Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, or similar platforms.
  • Partner with development teams to onboard applications and implement consistent DevOps, deployment, security, observability, and operational standards.
  • Guide development teams on production readiness, including HA, scaling, monitoring, logging, health checks, security, backup, and supportability.
  • Automate infrastructure, application installation, upgrades, backup, and operational procedures using Bash, Python, Terraform, Helm, APIs, and related technologies.
  • Manage Kubernetes, Rancher, Docker, and containerized workloads across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Architect and support deployments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, performance monitoring, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, New Relic, or similar tools.
  • Troubleshoot microservices and distributed systems including Kafka, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and MongoDB.
  • Perform root cause analysis and continuously improve reliability, scalability, security, performance, and deployment processes.
  • Leverage AI coding assistants, LLMs, AI agents, and AI-assisted automation to accelerate scripting, infrastructure development, CI/CD, troubleshooting, log analysis, documentation, testing, and repetitive operational tasks.
  • Identify opportunities to safely automate DevOps workflows using AI while maintaining appropriate validation and engineering oversight.

Requirements

  • Strong experience supporting 24×7, highly available production environments.
  • Strong Bash and Python scripting and automation skills.
  • Strong Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, and Helm experience.
  • Experience with Kubernetes certificate management, TLS, and service mesh technologies.
  • Strong CI/CD experience, preferably with Jenkins.
  • Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ and SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, New Relic, or similar observability platforms.
  • Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with development teams to onboard applications and drive adoption of DevOps processes, standards, and production-readiness requirements.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development or DevOps tools to improve engineering productivity and automation.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
