We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing Municipal Infrastructure team. This role is ideal for an engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality design solutions that directly support communities through public infrastructure and building projects.
In this position, you will play a key role in shaping electrical designs for municipal facilities and infrastructure while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and project managers. You will also have the opportunity to mentor emerging engineers, contribute technical leadership to complex projects, and work closely with municipal clients to bring practical solutions from concept through construction.
If you enjoy seeing your work move from design to real-world implementation—and want to be part of a team that values collaboration, quality, and long-term client partnerships—this is an excellent opportunity.

  • Develop engineering deliverables including design calculations, construction drawings, cost estimates, and bills of material
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop coordinated and constructible design packages
  • Participate in client meetings and technical discussions to understand project needs, address challenges, and deliver effective engineering solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers, supporting their professional development
  • Review and quality-check design drawings to ensure technical accuracy, code compliance, and alignment with client standards
  • Support project execution by helping maintain scope, schedule, and budget alignment throughout the design process

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering design, drafting, or related technical roles
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred
  • Strong proficiency with Revit for electrical modeling and design development
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation
  • Strong understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements
  • Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards including:
  • NFPA 72, 101, and 110
  • International Building Code (IBC)
  • Energy codes and lighting standards
  • Experience with lighting design tools such as DIALux or AGi32
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and organizational skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with clients
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Why this role?
