ABOUT US

At Planitar, we build technology that helps people see and understand the world’s spaces more clearly.

We are the creators of iGUIDE, a powerful property technology solution that combines immersive 3D tours, accurate floor plans and reliable spatial data into a single, easy-to-use system. Our cameras and software platform are used by professionals in real estate, insurance, construction and property management to simplify their work and deliver better results.

Planitar recently joined REA Group, one of the world’s leading digital property companies. REA operates Australia’s largest residential and commercial property platforms, including realestate.com.au and has a growing global footprint across Asia and North America. Together, we are shaping the future of property technology, combining Planitar’s deep spatial data expertise with REA’s global scale and innovation engine.

OUR VISION
A connected future where reliable spatial data enables informed decisions
across the property lifecycle.

OUR VALUES

  • Integrity: We do the right thing even when it’s hard.
  • Teamwork: We are one team, on a big mission.
  • Innovation: We value creative solutions for emerging opportunities.
  • Accountability: We honour our commitments.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Planitar is looking for a Senior Business Applications Analyst to bring ownership of our business platforms into IT, and to fix the processes that run on them as part of each move. Our CRM, telephony, HR, finance and collaboration platforms are administered today by subject-matter experts inside each department. That worked while we were small. At around 120 people, process knowledge lives in individual heads, configuration drifts, and nobody is looking across systems at how work actually flows end to end.

This is a hands-on, Waterloo-based hybrid role reporting to the Senior Manager, IT & InfoSec. You will be the entire business applications function, working directly with everyone from the VP, Finance to the people doing the work. The first big test is order-to-cash: we are moving our finance platform onto NetSuite as part of joining REA Group, and the hard part is upstream — how we price, discount and package our product, and how those variations flow from CRM through billing into finance. This is not a product or software development role. Our internal platforms are bought rather than built, so the work is process design, configuration and integration.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the move of business application ownership from departmental subject-matter experts into IT, one platform at a time: discovery, process review, target-state agreement, reconfiguration, documentation, training and credential handover, then take over day-to-day administration.
  • Map current-state processes across sales, marketing, finance, people operations and support, find where the process itself is the problem, and agree a better way of working with the people who do it before changing anything.
  • Get our order-to-cash data ready for automation: map how a sale moves from quote to cash, agree how price variations are represented across systems, and own the product, pricing and customer reference data that NetSuite depends on, removing manual corrections at source rather than rebuilding them inside integrations.
  • Design and build automation and cross-system integrations using native tooling, connectors and low-code platforms, managing change through testing, documentation and sandbox environments.
  • Establish the operating model where IT owns the platform layer and the business keeps named process ownership, and hold that line rather than quietly absorbing everything.
  • Own build-vs-buy decisions for internal capability needs, and run the internal application pipeline so tools built with Claude are specified, reviewed, owned and safe.
  • Act as the single intake point for business application requests, maintain a prioritized backlog with department leads, and provide tier-3 support.
  • Keep the SaaS inventory, SSO/SCIM coverage via Entra ID, joiner/mover/leaver processes and SOC 2 evidence current across transitioned applications, and own renewal and licence right-sizing decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years as the hands-on administrator of one or more business SaaS platforms. You have owned the admin console, not supervised someone who did.
  • Demonstrated business process improvement experience. You can walk us through a process you mapped, redesigned and implemented, and tell us what measurably changed.
  • Experience untangling a quote-to-cash or order-to-billing process, including how a pricing decision made in a CRM becomes a line on an invoice and an entry in the ledger.
  • Strong structural and logical reasoning. You can design a permissions model, map fields between two systems, or build multi-branch conditional automation and explain why you designed it that way.
  • Practical integration experience using native connectors and low-code tooling (Zapier, Make, Workato, Power Automate or equivalent), and working knowledge of SSO, SCIM provisioning and role-based access control.
  • Sound build-vs-buy judgement, grounded in total cost of ownership rather than cost to deliver.
  • Credibility and diplomacy with senior stakeholders. You can run a process mapping session with a team that did not ask for one, or tell a department head their process is the problem, and keep the relationship intact.
  • Experience with HubSpot, NetSuite, Atlassian, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID,BambooHR or Xero, preparing systems for an ERP or billing implementation, or supporting a SOC 2 programme is an asset. Software engineering and SQL are not required.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THE FIRST YEAR

  • An agreed, published sequence for moving platforms into IT, with four to six major platforms under IT ownership by the end of the year.
  • A transition playbook, intake process and build-vs-buy framework in use.
  • Order data reaches NetSuite without routine manual correction, backed by product and pricing reference data with a single agreed source of truth.
  • A demonstrable reduction in manual effort or cycle time in at least two core business processes, measured before and after.
  • Internally built tools are inventoried with named owners, and no shared or business-critical tool runs unreviewed.
  • Every transitioned platform has a named business process owner, complete offboarding and access reviews, and a department lead who can point to a process that works better.

PERKS AND BENEFITS

  • 100% employer-paid flexible benefits plan
  • Comprehensive Health & Dental coverage
  • Health Spending Account (HSA) or Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA)

options

  • 3% DPSP match
  • Hybrid Work Environment
  • Professional Development Incentive
  • Opportunities to grow as we scale
