The Posting

About the company

Our client is a software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Lead product strategy and the roadmap for a shared technology foundation used by several product lines. Make calls on what to merge, create or retire, while staying close to the work with engineers and providing direction to fellow product managers.

What you'll do

  • Work with engineering leadership to agree on platform priorities and guide a small group of product managers.
  • Evaluate competing requests from several product lines and decide the order of delivery.
  • Audit the platform's building blocks to see what is already in place, what can be shared and what is missing.
  • Take charge of the interfaces other teams rely on, including how they are versioned, phased out and migrated over time.
  • Share ownership of results with engineers and use AI tools daily to build and prototype.

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of product management experience.
  • Background leading a shared technical foundation with several internal product teams depending on it, in a platform, AI/ML or infrastructure setting.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrated zero-to-one ownership, either at a startup or as the first product manager on a new product within a large technology company, from concept to launch.
  • Experience with AI/ML platforms, such as LLM orchestration, model evaluation, fine-tuning, retrieval or agent frameworks.
  • Experience setting and enforcing standards for interfaces between a platform and the teams that consume it.
  • Practical experience building agents, scripts or automated workflows with AI, going well beyond writing prompts.
  • Ability to work on-site five days a week in San Francisco.

Bonus points

  • Prior software, data engineering or other technical background.
