  • Partner with product management and stakeholders to translate customer requirements into robust embedded solutions.
  • Mentor and guide embedded engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, reviews, and best practices in coding and electronics design.
  • Collaborate with QA, certification labs, and manufacturing teams to ensure production readiness and compliance documentation (DoC, Technical Files).
  • Identify emerging embedded technologies and drive innovation and adoption to maintain a competitive edge.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s/PhD degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 15+ years of professional experience in embedded systems development with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in firmware development using C/C++ (RTOS, bare-metal, or embedded Linux).
  • Strong background in hardware design and development, including microcontrollers, sensors, communication interfaces (UART, CAN, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, BLE, etc.), and EMS management.
  • Deep understanding of testing methodologies for embedded systems (test plans, debugging, test automation, system validation, EMC/IP pre-compliance).
  • Hands-on experience with CE marking processes, risk assessments, technical documentation, and regulatory compliance (EMC, LVD, RoHS, RED, CRA as applicable).
  • Familiarity with tools: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG debuggers, PCB design/review software (Altium Designer,), and lab test setups.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of Agile development and working in collaborative DevOps environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with IoT products and secure communication protocols (MQTT, TLS, etc.).
  • Experience managing third-party labs and certification houses for compliance testing.

Key Skills

  • Embedded Firmware Development (C, C++, RTOS, Linux)
  • Hardware Design & PCB review
  • Testing & Validation (unit, integration, EMC, regulatory)
  • CE Marking & Compliance (Technical files, EMC, LVD, etc.)
  • Leadership & Team Mentorship
  • System Architecture & Integration
