ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a small, fast-moving team developing real-time electronic control systems for hypersonic flight vehicles. You will own flight-critical hardware from initial design through validation and integration.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design control electronics boards, including motor controllers, actuator drivers, and feedback and control loops.
- Own hardware end to end, from PCB design and bring-up through debugging, integration, validation, and production.
- Develop systems using microcontrollers, microprocessors, and mixed-signal circuits for real-time processing and control.
- Collaborate with guidance, navigation and control, avionics, and flight software teams to integrate systems.
- Define requirements and make technical decisions across the hardware lifecycle.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Three to 15 years of experience designing control or power electronics hardware, including motor drivers or actuator controllers.
- A BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Hands-on experience designing, bringing up, and debugging control or power electronics PCB assemblies, including analog or mixed-signal circuits.
- PCB design experience, including schematic capture and layout; Altium is preferred.
- Familiarity with embedded hardware such as ARM microcontrollers and CAN, and tools or technologies such as SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, DDR, FPGA, and embedded C.
- Experience in a fast-paced hardware environment and with flight hardware or other high-reliability systems in aerospace, defense, or automotive.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for security clearance are required. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
