The Posting
Do you speak fluent customer service and understand that "my car is making a weird noise" is not actually a technical diagnosis?
We're looking for a Collision Repair Service Advisor to join our team. If you can calm stressed customers, navigate insurance claims without breaking a sweat, and keep multiple repair updates straight in your head, you might be exactly who we're looking for.
What You'll Be Doing
- Welcoming customers who are having a less-than-great day because their vehicle has met an unfortunate mailbox, shopping cart, deer, or another driver.
- Acting as the main point of contact throughout the repair process.
- Keeping customers informed with timely updates so they don't have to call every three hours asking, "Is it done yet?"
- Working with insurance companies to help move claims through the process smoothly.
- Explaining repair timelines, deductibles, and paperwork in a way that makes sense to normal humans.
- Coordinating vehicle pickup and making sure customers know what to expect before they arrive.
- Following up after repairs to ensure customers leave happy and stay happy.
- Real Time Administration/File Management
- Closing Work Orders
- Occasionally covering the reception desk and proving that you can answer phones, greet visitors, and juggle multiple tasks without developing superpowers.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to stay calm when customers, insurance companies, and repair schedules all need something at the same time.
- Experience in collision repair, automotive service, customer service, or insurance claims is an asset.
- Basic computer skills and comfort learning shop management software.
- A positive attitude and a good sense of humor.
Bonus Points If You Can
- Translate insurance terminology into plain English.
- Explain repair delays without sounding like you're reading from a script.
- Find a missing repair order in less time than it takes everyone else to start panicking.
- Remember multiple customer names before your second cup of coffee.
Benefits
What You'll Get
- A supportive team environment.
- Interesting days where no two customer stories are exactly the same.
- Opportunities to learn and grow within the collision repair industry.
- The satisfaction of helping customers get back on the road after an accident.
If you're organized, customer-focused, and can keep a smile on your face when the phone rings for the tenth time before lunch, we'd love to hear from you.
